Angie Leslie, 63, passed away on January 14, 2024, in Lancaster, California. She was born April 21, 1960, in Louisville, Mississippi. Angie was a loving, caring, generous, and outgoing person. She had a passion for Mortician Science, studying the anatomy of the human body and preparing organs after death.
Angie is survived by her mother, Nancy Dupree, and her deceased father, William Walker. She is also survived by her children Cherlyn Walker, Arnicka Johnson, Robert Melson, William Leslie, and Carla Hall. Unfortunately, her son Derrick Warren preceded her in death.
Angie was a proud grandmother to Deon Marshall, Christian Bryant, Demari Melson, Baylah Young, and A’miaa Mylove Melson. She is also survived by her sister Alice McDonald, Mary McNair, Linda Dupree, and Tracy Davison, and her brother: Jessie Dupree, Patrick, and Eddie McDonald.
She was preceded in death by her brother Henry, Winfred and Terry. Angie is also survived by her nieces and nephews, including Falandia Younger and Eric Younger, and many more whom she loved dearly.
Angie attended Roosevelt High School and Martin Luther King Academy in Gary, Indiana. She furthered her education at Purdue University in Hammond, Indiana. Angie’s dedication to Mortician Science was evident in her career, where she applied her knowledge and skills to assist in the preparation of organs after death.
