Elizabeth Romero Obituary

Elizabeth, Eli, was born in Mexico City, Mexico to Rebeca Lopez Pertrides and Zenon Petrides.
Growing up Eli was a very creative, affectionate and loving child who enjoyed playing with her
pets poodle Tottie, her lamb Chencho and her duck. She was the youngest of 8 siblings and the
beloved baby of the family. Eli loved to learn, read, and was very artistic and loved to color and
draw. After studying to be a secretary and medical assistant, Eli lived in Guadalajara and Mexico
City before getting married. Eli met her husband Juan Manuel Romero and fell in love at the
Santa Monica Pier near Los Angeles, California when she came to visit family during a Christmas
vacation. Eli and Juan had a beautiful wedding in Mexico City surrounded by friends and family
before returning to live in Inglewood, California. El and Juan found true love, friendship,
companionship and support in one another and went everywhere together. Eland Juan
enjoyed being active in their church together, trying new restaurants and going to the park to
walk and feed the ducks. Eli and Juan later moved to Texas and Jalisco, Mexico where Eli was a
Catholic School Teacher where she taught children about her faith, the word of The Bible, and
her loving fun way of expressing life lessons and virtues. Eli and Juan recently celebrated 25
years of marriage and through their example lived a life devoted to each other through all of
lives good and bad times. Eli will live on in our hearts forever as a beautifully kind, expressive,
brilliant human being with a sparkle in her eyes, a smile that radiated joy to everyone that met
her, and true authenticity and honesty in who she was and a love for everyone she cared for.
Elizabeth courageously put up a valiant fight against cancer and enjoyed every moment and day
she lived. Eli we will always love and remember you.
