With heavy hearts and everlasting love, we celebrate the life and homegoing of Gardis Stephens, a woman whose presence was unforgettable and whose spirit was unmatched.

Gardis was vibrant, loud, dancing, and gangsta — full of life and energy everywhere she went. She loved to party, get dressed, and enjoy some good food. When Gardis showed up, you knew it. Her laughter, confidence, and bold personality filled the room.

Her grandchildren meant everything to her — and couldn’t nobody tell her no different. Family was her joy, her comfort, and her happy place. Being surrounded by loved ones is what truly made her smile.

Gardis was a strong-minded and strong-willed woman of God who lived a good life. She faced life head-on with faith, determination, and resilience. One of her favorite sayings was,

“Wherever there is a will, there is a way — keep going.”

Those words will forever live on through the family she loved so deeply.

We hold her close to our hearts. Though she has transitioned from this life, her love, laughter, and legacy will remain with us forever. She will never be forgotten and will always be missed.
