Perry Holifield was born in Rankin County, Mississippi on October 3, 1950, to Jack and Joanne Holifield. He was one of 10 siblings. In 1969, at the age of 19, Perry moved to California, where he gained employment with a tire company and maintained it for 15 years. He later began working with his father installing cabinets eventually moving on to construction work. Perry than obtained his Construction License and opened his own company. Him and his brother worked together until Perry decided to retire. After retirement he would keep himself occupied doing maintenance from time to time.
He was blessed with 6 children, whom he loved dearly. He loved and enjoyed spending time with his family. He enjoyed playing basketball, camping, fishing, playing cards and dominos. The fond memories of Perry will live on, in the hearts of his wife, Vera and his children, grand children, great grandchild, sisters and friends.
FOREVER IN OUR HEARTS
For all you were to us in life
And all the joy you brought,
your memory is with us
In every single thought.
The pain we felt at losing you
Will never go away,
Knowing that you're in our hearts
helps us through each day.
When you were here, we always felt
That nothing could go wrong.
But you're still our inspiration
And your memory keeps us strong.
And though our hearts are heavy
It's also full of love,
And that's enough to comfort us
While you're in heaven above.
