RONALD NEAL SR Obituary

Ronald Dewayne Neal Sr. was born on June 30, 1962, to the union of Barbra Jean Neal
and Charles Neal Sr. in Los Angeles, CA. He was affectionately known as Chicken or
Wayne to family and friends. He accepted Christ in his life at an early age, where he
attended St. Lutheran Church. He grew up in a household as the youngest of seven. As
the baby of the family, he was spoiled by his mother and had a close bond with his
siblings.
He grew up in Los Angeles, where he attended 24th Street Elementary School, Mount
Vernon Junior High School, and Dorsey High School.

Ronald spent his weekends with his dad as a kid, and some would say his old soul
came from his dad's influence. You'd find him in slacks and dress shoes or rocking
three-piece suits and hats whenever he was with his father. Ronald even strolled into
the first day of kindergarten decked out in a full three-piece suit. By age six, his dad was
already taking him to dog races in Santa Ana, California, and Tia Juana, Mexico. Ronald
always returned from those weekends with pockets full of cash and his favorite candies.
As a kid, he discovered a love for skating. His siblings introduced him to it, but he
continued long after they moved on. Skating became one of his many talents.

Ronald affectionately earned the nickname Chicken because of his Jheri curl, which
would flutter like chicken feathers when he ran. His friends couldn't resist teasing him
about it, and the playful moniker stuck with him throughout his life. Even his sister Linda
fondly recalls one of Ronald's friends buzzing her apartment asking for Chicken. She'd
joke, "Chicken doesn't live here, and neither does Rooster." His family would eventually
embrace the name and call him Chicken as well.
Ronald was known as a ladies' man. He and his friends called the Weekend Lovers,
and they loved going to parties and talking to every girl there. This love for socializing
stayed with Ronald well into adulthood.

Ronald's career took him to Fidelity Security Services, where he worked as a security
guard responsible for ensuring the safety of community events and private celebrity
parties. Ronald also ventured into entrepreneurship by opening a cellphone and scooter
shop. This bold move highlighted his entrepreneurial spirit and demonstrated his
commitment to the community.

Ronald's love for cars started when his dad gave him a 1962 Chevy. He especially loved
Cadillacs and old Chevrolet Impalas. He started the first Black car club in the Antelope
Valley, called Lac-It-Or-Not, and later led City I City Car Club Chapter 3. His clubs went
to car shows all over California and nearby states.

Ronald also loved oldies music. He always played his favorite songs and made sure
everyone around him enjoyed them, too. In his garage, he set up a bar called City
Lounge where friends could hang out and listen to classics by the Delfonics,
Commodores, and Marvin Gaye. It became a special place for music, friends, and good
times.

Ronald's passion for cars and music brought everyone who knew him joy.
Ronald's presence will be missed by everyone who knew him. He was a loving father;
his legacy will continue through his children and grandchildren.
