Robbie Hampton Obituary

Life Reflections/Obituary

On March 2, 1934, Robbie Lynn Hampton was born to Elbert and Connie Bonner in Longview, TX. She was the fourth of eleven children who they raised and instilled in them there love for the Lord, unwavering love, compassion, strength, and the importance of family. Robbie accepted Christ at an early age. She was educated in the Longview Public School system, where she excelled academically and built lifelong friendships. Robbie displayed a vibrant spirit, a kind heart, and a natural ability to bring joy to those around her. She enjoyed many activities such as sports as she joined the Basketball team at Welding High School. Robbie met and married Herbert Hampton Jr., they moved to California and to that union was born 6 children.

Robbie was a talented seamstress and homemaker. Her personality could be described as tough as nails yet gentle and genuine. She had a great sense of humor and her tenacity outlasted the test of time. There was never a challenge she could not overcome with tremendous grace. Robbie was a woman of many passions. She found joy in dancing, enjoying music, traveling many places across the country, cooking, growing food in her garden, which she had an amazing green thumb, caring for her children as well as many others, and of course raising animals. On any given day Robbie could be seen dancing energeticly to her favorite song ain't no way by Aretha Franklin. She has created so many lasting memories in our hearts. If you were fortunate enough to visit you could find Robbie cooking one of her famous Sunday dinners. Robbie was well known for her nuturing nature and unspoken ability to make every child cling to her side. The love and care did not stop with children she even raised pigs, ducks, chickens, and doves in which she loved dearly. She was always eager to share her vibrance, light, wisdom and unconditional love with those around her. She embraced every experience with warmth, love and positivity.

Though the pain of her loss is overwhelming, we find solace in the memories she left behind. Her spirit will live on in every shared story, every echo of laughter, and every act of love inspired by her example. We will forever carry her in our hearts.

"Love Lives On"

Those we love remain with us
for love itself lives on,
and cherished memories never fade
because a loved one’s gone.
Those we love can never
be more than a thought apart,
far as long as there is memory,
they’ll live on in the heart.
