Thomas Amios Shivers
08/05/1949 to 04/18/2026
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Thomas Amios Shivers, who departed this life on 04/18/2026 at the age of 76.
Thomas was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He will be remembered for his service to his country as a Marine and for his immense generosity and passion for his family and work. Thomas was always willing to lend a helping hand to whomever needed it. Thomas is survived by his wife of 55 years; Wanda and his four children, Joshua, Trevor, Tracy and Thomas Shivers and daughter in-laws Zoraida and Orlhy and his grandchildren, Trystin, Tabitha, Makenzie, Taryn, Jordan and Oliver and his great granddaughter Liset. He will be at peace along with his first-born son, Sean Shivers.
After he retired, he had a hobby of making wagons. He didn’t just build them for people as a hobby, he built smiles, memories and moments that people will always remember him by.
Tom’s funny jokes and little dances at family gatherings along with his happy smile will forever be carried in our memories. Tom made sure his sons, and daughter always had his support, you needed him and he was always there. At special anniversaries he made sure Wanda had her flowers and Lotto tickets, he knew how to put a smile on her face. His love for his grandchildren was unconditional, and he loved the new great granddaughter that arrived just 2 weeks before his passing. He will forever be with us.
There will never be enough words to say about this man. Thomas Amios Shivers was a great man and will be deeply missed by his family who loved him and those who were not only fortunate enough to meet him but also got to know him.
A light is from our household gone,
A voice we loved is stilled,
A place is vacant in our home,
Which never can be filled.
