Our Uriah
"UU"
On January 20, 1995, at Antelope Valley Hospital in Lancaster, California, a unique little baby boy was born to Dana Marie Lawson and Donovon Trailer. He was named Uriah Jaron Traylor.
As Uriah changed from baby to toddler, his name changed with him and he was fondly named "UU", an affectionate name that would stay with him until his departure from this life on August 1, 2025. Uriah's introduction to Jesus Christ and his formative education years begin at Desert Blossom Christian Center Development Institute in Littlerock, California, under the leadership of Bishop G.L. Talley. This was an opportunity for UU to grow and learn through church programs, Sunday School, and those commonly known Easter recitals. Although he was a very active and adventurous child, UU's personality began to develop early as a quiet and calm spirited boy. His kind and loving nature became apparent throughout his elementary and middle school years in Lancaster School District. He was not a mischievous boy, never giving hid mother, grandmother, or teachers a reason to reprimand him. As a young boy, Uriah developed a love for sports, playing in various youth leagues. His main passion became football.
He accelerated in football at Paraclete High School in Lancaster, CA. Uriah's football skills increased and in 2013 he graduated from Damien High School in La Verne, CA with a scholarship to Northern Arizona University, Flagstaff, AZ. After returning to Antelope Valley to be near his mother, younger brother, and the family, he accepted employment with the Rite Aid Corporation. He later accepted a security position with Volunteers of America, a human services organization. Dedicated to helping those in need rebuild their lives and reach their full potential, he worked with VOA until his untimely passing.
Uriah enjoyed unlocking the mysteries of technology. He loved the challenge of video games and became a master "gamer". However, nothing compared to his greatest challenge and hoy of becoming a dad to his son Jya'ire, born in 2021. Uriah took his role as a father very seriously. His intelligence and responsibility attributes were beneficial in fatherhood. Loving and caring for his son became his main focus.
"I can do all things through Christ, who gives me strength." Philippians 4:13. The scripture reference was an inspiration to Uriah, as he carried it close to his heart.
Uriah Jaron Trailer, "UU", was a quiet storm and will be remembered as a "gentle giant." Uriah's physical presence, low-key characteristics and kind nature will be greatly missed and cherished by his family and friends.
To God be all the Glory!
